Main point of contact for advice about research ethics and the University's ethical review process.

Has responsibility for the administration of research ethics policy and review, including providing secretariat services to all the Faculty Research Ethics Committees and providing formal and informal guidance to researchers. 

Also has responsibility for providing secretariat services to the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC).

Jennifer is the first point of contact for complaints and appeals.

Faculty Research Ethics Committees (FRECs)
Have responsibility, delegated from the UREC, for the operational review of ethical issues arising from research proposals; auditing and monitoring compliance and efficiency; and developing and disseminating best practice within the institution and within the University's networks. The FRECs report regularly to the UREC. You are welcome to contact FREC members for informal advice.
