  • Support staff skills development with respect to public engagement
  • Develop, organise, support and service public engagement networking groups and the delivery of the Engagement Excellence mentoring Scheme;
  • Engage with staff and students to develop a shared understanding of the range, diversity and value of our public (and patient) engagement activities;
  • Move forward the on-going development of high profile platforms for engagement established at the University to support researchers in their public engagement work, evaluate and report on these activities;
  • Co-ordinate and provide clerical support for the administration, evaluation and reporting of small grant schemes to support researchers in developing novel and exciting public and patient engagement projects;

  • Develop, organise and manage the creation, editing and curation of content across our dedicated web and social media platforms
  • Engage our existing audience and grow our online following as well as our public-facing brand of digital content;
  • Responsible for ensuring content is compliant with style, privacy and accessibility requirements, keeping up to date with developments in these areas;
  • Liaise with researchers and academics to lead the development and production of engaging online content for research
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and responsible for the creative project lead of new ventures for the team;
  • Deliver coaching, training and support for staff’s skills development for creative digital content production;
