Application process

IAA applications for the Business Engagement and Knowledge Transfer Secondment activity strands should be developed in collaboration with your local Research & Innovation Development Manager, or an equivalent Research & Innovation Professional.

They will be able to assist with developing your idea, engaging with appropriate external partners and identifying tangible economic and/or societal impacts.

Proof of market and proof of concept applications should be prepared with assistance from the Commercialisation Team.

To discuss eligibility and the application process for Commercialisation applications, please contact Amy Contreras. Project costings must be prepared in conjunction with your Faculty Research & Innovation Office.

When planning your application please note that the EPSRC IAA award to the University ends on 31 March 2022 and no extensions will be permitted.

All IAA project spend must be completed by this date. All BE and KTS applications must be submitted with a letter of support from the external partner.

Funding for projects is available through an open competition. The deadline for the current call is:

5pm Wednesday 26th May 2021

Due to the limited funds available any further EPSRC IAA calls will be dependent on the level of funding awarded in the May 21 call.

Award notifications will be sent two/three weeks after the call deadline.

To submit an application, please email a signed electronic copy of the completed application form to the Innovation Development Team.
