UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships round 7: internal selection process

Round 7 of the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowships scheme will soon open to applications. This scheme is for early career researchers and innovators who want to transition to or establish independence.

There is no minimum or maximum award value, and your project can last for up to four years, with the option to apply for a further three years.

University of Leeds is allowed to submit eight applications in this round. We are running an internal process to select applicants and will be providing them with support throughout the selection and application-writing stages of the process. We have chosen to run the selection process in this way to enable high quality expressions of interest while giving the selected applicants as long as possible to work up their proposals

How to apply

The selection process is open to candidates already at University of Leeds and those who would like to come and hold their FLF here.

Candidates must secure the support of their host School/Institute; supporting information from the host School/Institute is requested on the expression of interest form.

The expression of interest form, complete with authorising signature from the Head of School/Institute, must be submitted by 22 September 2022 to R-IDevelopment@leeds.ac.uk.

External applicants wishing to apply to hold an FLF at University of Leeds can view a recording of the information session and attend the drop-in sessions, please contact R-IDevelopment@leeds.ac.uk to arrange this.
