Although there are several routes through which technology and ideas may be developed and commercialised, the initial stages are common to all routes.
When assessing a potential opportunity, the Commercialisation team does not have a preferred commercialisation pathway. We will consider the risk, cost, speed of return, and your involvement, amongst other factors. However, fundamentally the decision is based on the route to market that has the optimum chance of commercial success to demonstrate research impact.
