Closures

The EU post award team will ensure that all income received on a European Commission (EC) project is correct and matches our total financial claims.

Once the final payment has been received a 'closure reconciliation' will be sent to the Faculty Research and Innovation Office (FRIO) detailing the corrections needed to balance the project account.

The process for closing EC projects in KRISTAL is the same process used for other funders, the guidance for which can be found here.

There is also a Closure Checklist which should be completed and retained on file in case of a University audit.
